Hey! I’m Marisa Switzer. A girl who left a coveted  ‘Devil Wears Prada’ corporate career to pursue a brand born of purpose.

Sound familiar? If so, you’re not alone. I can’t tell you how I got here without a nod to 12 year old Marisa, who would pin editorial design and fashion magazine pages to her bedroom walls while Project Runway blared on in the background.

When I landed my first fashion industry job at 15 in the city, it was a total pinch me moment. From there, I was fortunate enough to experience a handful of positions within the fashion industry.

Imagine my surprise, circa 2015, when I was left utterly unfulfilled after securing a highly coveted career at one of the largest fashion magazine publishers in NYC ‘think Devil Wears Prada’.

From that moment, Brands by RISE was born out of a deep desire to use my expertise to directly feel my work’s impact on the people and world around me.
And I have.

With more than 150 ecommerce brands served, and nearly ten years of experience providing strategic design for fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands, I know firsthand how many moving pieces you're juggling at any given time: production, manufacturing, creative directing your photoshoot, and everything else that comes with launching a brand. Then, there’s the undeniable difficulty of trusting someone to bring your idea to life.

Frankly, I can sit here all day and prove that I know “my stuff.” I can show hundreds of brands I’ve designed and present you with numerous rave reviews. None of that matters as much as you leaving here, knowing that our success in working together stems from how dedicated I am to getting to know you and your heart for what you do.
